Underground Waterproofing
ENERGY ISOELASTING is unique product, in global perspective, with its index of less than 1% water absorption!!! The product is developed especially for applications with permanent water or opposite water pressure.ENERGY ISOELASTING is a thick, homogenous, elastic paste, compounded of bitumen /modified with SBS rubber/, water, fillers. When applied under specific conditions /Iow temperatures, high humidity, damp substrate, etc./ a catalyzer for hardening is added to the paste. This two-component waterproofing paste is marked as ISOELAST 2K.
- For waterproofings being constantly under water! Exceptionally low water absorbtion – less than 1%!
- Exceptionally short drying time – less than 2 hours /at 23°C and 50% humidity/
- Very strong adhesion /over 2 Mpa/ – resistance to opposite water pressure
- Can be applied on fresh concrete immediately after disassembling of the framework
- Can be applied and cures at low temperatures /0°C/
- Fast and easy application – “two hands ready waterproofing”!
- Fireresistant, ecological,weatherresistant
- Water absorption – less than 1 %
- Drying time – less than 2 hours
- Heat resistance – over 160°C
- Flexibility at low temperatures – minus 10°C
- Tensile strength – over 950 N/mm’
- Adhesion – over 2,0 MPa
- Elongation – over 400%
- Inflammability – none
- Preliminary preparation:
Discharge ISOELAST from the packing into a suitable container and stir thoroughly with an electrical mixer. When ENERGY ISOELASTING 2K is used, first pre-stir the liquid component in a separate container and then add the dry component while permanently stirring, till a homogenous mixture without any lumps is obtained. The ready paste should be used in 3 – 4 hours, recurrently stirred in order to prevent segregation.
Preparation of the substrate:
The surfaces should be solid, well cleaned, without dust and frost. Cement – mortar can’t strips should be placed at the corners between floor and walls, columns, etc. When an old waterproofing needs repairing, it should be preliminary treated, according “Manual for application of construction waterproofings with Isomax materials”, using ENERGY ISOELASTING products.
Performance:
1. Spread primer, composed from ENERGY ISOELASTING and water in ratio 1 :1, with a brush. Wait till the primer is fully dry /appr. 30 minutes/.
2. Spread a layer of ENERGY ISOELASTING with a brush, pallet or toothed rubber paddle /teeth high 3 mm/. Immediately, put the reinforcing glass-fibre net and press it to the base. Spread some more ENERGY ISOELASTING in order to cover the net. Wait for full drying.
3. Spread layer of ENERGY ISOELASTING.Note: Each layer of ENERGY ISOELASTING has thickness of about 1,5 mm.
- Polyethylene – Polypropylene bags – 25 or 40 kg
- Plastic buckets – 10 kg
- Underground insolations – 4 kg/m2
- Waterproofing of “green roofs” – 5 kg/m2
- At waterproofing of vertical surfaces, the edges and corners are obligatory reinforced with “ENERGY ISOELASTING ompensating Tape”.
- At waterproofing aganist underground water ENERGY ISOELASTING is placed upon a concrete base prior the reinforced concrete foundations.
- At waterproofing of dilatation joints and active crackings, install “ENERGY ISOELASTING” on the joints and crackings, fix the ends of the dumptape withENERGY ISOELASTING to the substrate and then complete the waterproofing withENERGY ISOELASTING .
- Use ENERGY ISOELASTING 2K for waterproofing at temperatures bellow 10°C, cloudy and misty weather, damp substrates and other unfavourable conditions.
- To be stored in warehouses or sheds! Prevent from frosting!
- Don’t mix ENERGY ISOELASTING with other materials and fillers!
- Always stir the paste thoroughtly before use!
- Depending on the wetnessness of the substrate and the ambient temperature, you can add up to 5% water to obtain workable consistency for easy application.
